Anti-discrimination
People with HIV still experience discrimination today, for example in the workplace or in the health sector. The fact that discrimination due to HIV infection is by no means an isolated case was shown by the "positive vote" survey conducted nationwide in 2011/12, which for the first time provided figures on the stigmatisation of people with HIV. The Deutsche Aidshilfe responded to this, among other things, by setting up a "contact point for HIV-related discrimination".
The contact point against HIV-related discrimination of the Deutsche Aidshilfe can be contacted on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. under the telephone number (030) 690087-67 or by e-mail.
Our Aidshilfe also provides support and assistance in the event of discrimination at the local level. People with HIV who live in the district of Unna and have experienced discrimination can turn to us with confidence.
