Prevention for drug users

Within the context of prevention work, our Aidshilfe participates in the Aidshilfe NRW's automatic syringe machine project. At three locations in the district, a 24-hour supply of sterile syringes, safer use care products and condoms can be ensured.

The distribution of vending machines thus makes an important contribution to preventing infections and minimising harm to the health of drug users. The vending machines are regularly equipped and serviced by our Aidshilfe.

The three locations are located at

•     Railway station in Unna-Königsborn (near the underpass),
•     at the bus station in Bergkamen at the town hall
•     and on the square in front of the station on the Bahnhofstraße in Fröndenberg.

On the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, we also offer people using drugs a counselling service in the "Kontaktladen" of the Suchthilfe im Kreis Unna gGmbH. Our Aidshilfe is the contact person from 13:00 to 15:30 hours. A pre-registration is not necessary!

You will find the "Kontaktladen" at Rembrandtstraße 1 in Unna.

In principle, our prevention services are also available to other drug help centres in the district.
